Honey Glazed Carrots

Honey Glazed Carrots with Parsley Chives and Honey Crystals
Honey glazed carrots are a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables. They have a deliciously sweet taste and are quick and easy to make. They go well with a variety of dishes including beef, chicken, and fish.
 

You can adjust this recipe to make its flavor more tangy or spicy. To make it more tangy, use 1/4 cup of orange juice. To make it spicy and ground fresh black pepper or any spicy pepper of your choice.
 



 

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups of small baby carrots (pre-peeled)
  • 1 cup of low fat butter
  • 1 tablespoon of Mama Healthy® Honey Crystals
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • Fresh minced parsley and chives (optional)
  • Fresh minced chives (optional)

Directions

  1. In a medium skillet, melt the butter.
  2. Add the Honey Crystals, honey, nutmeg and cinnamon and mix them together. Note: for a tangy taste add the orange juice. For a spicy taste add the pepper.
  3. Add the carrots and stir.
  4. Cover and cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes, stirring it occasionally. Note: when you have finished cooking, the carrots should be firm, not too soft or mushy.
  5. Remove the honey glazed carrots from the skillet.
  6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and chives.
